The Katuaq Cultural Centre, located in the heart of Nuuk, is a stunning architectural masterpiece inspired by the Northern Lights. It is a vibrant hub for cultural activities, hosting concerts, exhibitions, conferences, and films that celebrate Greenlandic culture and art.
Designed by Schmidt Hammer Lassen, Katuaq opened its doors on February 15, 1997. This project was a collaboration between the Greenland Home Rule Government, the Nuuk Municipal Council, and the Nordic Council of Ministers.
Situated centrally in Nuuk, Katuaq is easily accessible on foot from nearby hotels and the Colonial Harbour. Visitors can also use local transportation services to reach the centre.
Ticket prices vary depending on the event. For specific events like concerts or conferences, tickets can be purchased at the venue or online. General admission to exhibitions is typically free or requires a minimal fee.
