Originally a site for extensive commercial forestry, the area was transformed into a national park in 2003, making it the largest forest conservation area in the region.

Getting to Repovesi National Park
Traveling to Repovesi National Park is convenient by car from Helsinki, which is approximately 180 km away. The park is located about 45 km north of Kouvola’s city center. During the winter months, driving is the most practical option. There are multiple entry points, including the Lapinsalmi and Saarijärvi parking areas.
