How to Get to Rock City

To visit Rock City, head to 1400 Patten Rd., Lookout Mountain, GA 30750. If you’re coming from downtown Chattanooga, it’s about a six-mile drive north on Highway 41, also known as Lookout Mountain Parkway. While there’s no direct public transportation to Rock City, you can use local buses and taxis to get close, and then take a short drive or walk to reach the entrance.

1. Enchanted Trail: This is the main attraction, a 4,100-foot trail that features incredible rock formations, magical caves, and breathtaking views. Highlights include Fat Man’s Squeeze and Needle’s Eye, where you have to turn sideways to pass between huge boulders.
