Singapore Botanic Gardens is a stunning spot right in the middle of Singapore. Opened in 1859, it’s a key player in promoting biodiversity and is famous for its beautiful gardens and floral displays.
The gardens were developed by British horticulturists and botanists and have made a big impact on agriculture and conservation in Singapore. It’s the only tropical botanic garden that’s a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Visitors can get to the Singapore Botanic Gardens via the Botanic Gardens MRT Station on both the Downtown Line and Circle Line. There are also bus stops near each MRT station. For those driving, several parking lots are available within the garden, and directions can be found on Google Maps.
Entry to the Singapore Botanic Gardens is free, but there’s a fee for the National Orchid Garden (SGD 15 for adults, SGD 5 for seniors and students).
