This is an abbey known as St. Peter’s Abbey (Stift St. Peter) located in the heart of Salzburg. It was founded in the 7th century by St. Rupert and is one of the oldest monasteries in Austria. The abbey houses a beautiful church, a cemetery with elaborate tombstones, and a library that contains over 100,000 books.
