Briscoe Western Art Museum
210 W Market St, San Antonio, TX 78205, USAB
Posted by Brandon B.AdminThe 1930 San Antonio Public Library building on the River Walk, reopened in 2013 as a museum of Western art, artefacts and history. Three floors covering the frontier, the vaqueros and the cattle trails, with Santa Anna's sword and a Pancho Villa saddle among the objects. It is compact enough for an hour and sits directly on the river between the Alamo and the convention centre, which makes it the easiest museum in the city to drop into.
