Located in the heart of West Yellowstone, Montana, the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center is a not-for-profit wildlife park and educational facility. It offers visitors an up-close view of the celebrated grizzly bears and grey wolves, in a safe, secure environment. The center is a year-round facility that allows guests to experience the wild without venturing into the wilderness.

A Peek into the Past

The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center opened its doors in 1993 with the goal to provide visitors with an opportunity to learn about, understand and appreciate the grizzly bear and grey wolf. The creatures at the center are unable to survive in the wild, and therefore are given a healthy, secure, and natural habitat to thrive in. The center also focuses on educating the public about these majestic creatures and their importance in the ecosystem.

Getting There

The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center is located at 201 South Canyon Street, West Yellowstone, Montana. If you are traveling by air, the nearest airport is Yellowstone Airport. From there, it’s a short 3-miles drive to the center. If traveling by car, West Yellowstone is accessible from all directions via U.S. Highways 20, 287 and 191.
