King William Historic District
122 Madison St, San Antonio, TX 78204, USAB
Posted by Brandon B.AdminA neighbourhood of large nineteenth-century houses built by German merchants on the river just south of downtown, and the first area in Texas to be designated a historic district. The Villa Finale and the Steves Homestead are open to visit; the rest is a walk, which is how it is best taken. It runs into Southtown and the Blue Star complex, so an afternoon can cover the architecture, the galleries and the bars without moving a car.
