Laugardalslaug has a fascinating past that goes back to Reykjavik’s early days. Originally, the area was used for bathing and washing clothes thanks to its natural hot springs. The current complex, designed by architect Einar Sveinsson, was constructed in 1968. Over the years, it has expanded, with a new 50-meter indoor pool and hot tub added in 2005.

How to Get There

Located in Laugardalur park, Laugardalslaug is easy to reach from Reykjavik’s city center. You can walk there in about 40 minutes or hop on buses 12 and 14 from Hlemmur, the main bus station. If you’re driving, there’s plenty of parking available.
