Milestone 1146 of the Voie de la Liberté, a kilometre short of the last one, standing in Bastogne itself. The markers are easy to walk past as municipal furniture; once you know what they are, the numbering does something that no museum display quite manages — it measures the advance from the Normandy beaches in walking distance rather than in dates.
