Tank Turret, 10th Armored Division
Route de Clervaux, 6600 Bastogne, BelgiumB
Posted by Brandon B.AdminOne of a ring of tank turrets set into the ground around Bastogne, each marking a point on the defensive perimeter held during the siege of December 1944 — this one for the 10th Armored Division, whose Team Cherry and Team Desobry bought the time the 101st needed to dig in. Following the turrets is the cheapest and least crowded way to understand the shape of the battle: the line was a circle, and the town is in the middle of it.
