Belém Tower, also known as the “Tower of St Vincent”, is a fortified tower located in Santa Maria de Belém area of Lisbon. It is also a UNESCO site because of it’s role in the peak era of Portuguese maritime exploration. Also, near by is the Padrão dos Descobrimentos which is a beautiful monument dedicated to the Portuguese Age of Discovery.
