Built on the end of Pier 57 in 2012, which means the gondolas swing out past the pier and over open water at the top of the rotation. Three revolutions, about fifteen minutes, with the skyline on one side and the Sound on the other. It is firmly a tourist ride and priced like one, but the position over the bay is genuinely better than a fairground wheel on land.
