Unlimited Price per Day Compared
A daily rate makes unlimited plans easier to compare.
eSIM | Unlimited US Plan | Price (October 2026) | Price per Day | High-Speed GB per Dollar |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Saily | 15 days, 5 GB/day | US$45.99 | about US$3.07 | about 1.63 GB |
Airalo | 15 days, 3 GB/day | US$46.00 | about US$3.07 | about 0.98 GB |
Holafly | 15 days, no published daily limit | US$50.50 | about US$3.37 | n/a |
Nomad | 7 days (longest offered), 2 GB/day | US$23 | about US$3.29 | about 0.61 GB |
Saily and Airalo sit a cent apart per day, so price alone does not separate them. Saily's 5 GB daily allowance gives about 1.63 GB of high-speed data per dollar, against 0.98 GB on Airalo and 0.61 GB on Nomad.
The Four Providers
Four providers feature in our US pricing ranking, led by Saily.
1. Saily: Best-Value eSIM for USA Travel
Saily sells prepaid data plans for 200+ destinations through one app, with online security tools built in. Its developer, Nord Security, also makes NordVPN.
Every Saily plan includes virtual location with 115+ locations, an ad blocker and web protection at no extra cost. Web protection checks sites against a database of known threats and limits trackers.
Saily’s ad blocker saves 28.6% of data on average, according to Saily. West Coast Labs validated that figure in a test across 22 websites. An ACM WebSci study found ad blockers cut transferred data by about 25% to 34% on news sites.

Saily’s unlimited US plan runs 5 to 30 days, with 15 days at US$45.99 (October 2026). Fair use gives 5 GB of high-speed data per 24 hours, then data continues at up to 1 Mbps for the rest of that day.

What You Pay Beyond the Sticker Price
Home-carrier roaming can add daily fees or per-megabyte charges, depending on the visitor's plan. UK regulator Ofcom found that nearly one in five holidaymakers (19%) don't know they could face extra charges when using their phone abroad, and introduced roaming alerts in 2024 as a result. A prepaid eSIM replaces that uncertainty with a fixed price paid upfront.
Rewards programs can lower the real cost over several trips. Some providers return credits on each purchase, while others run tiered loyalty schemes.
Hotspot rules can add hidden costs for laptop users. Check whether sharing is unlimited, capped per day or restricted on unlimited plans before you buy.
Activation windows matter for early planners. Some plans can be bought months ahead and start on arrival, while others must be activated within a set number of days.
Matching Budget to Trip Length
Trip length decides which package type makes sense.
Weekend or short trip: A small fixed plan of 1 GB to 3 GB usually covers maps and messaging.
One to two weeks: Saily’s 15-day unlimited plan at US$45.99 (October 2026) gives steady daily data plus free security tools.
US plus Canada or Mexico: Saily’s North America plan covers all three countries from US$5.99.
Several months with heavy data: Nomad suits travelers who want long-stay data packages.
Specific GB needs: Airalo suits travelers who want the widest choice of package sizes.
No data counting at all: Holafly suits travelers who prefer flat day-based packages.
The Bottom Line
Saily is our best-value eSIM for USA travel because of how much high-speed data each dollar buys, not because it has the lowest sticker price. Its 15-day unlimited plan costs US$45.99 (October 2026), level with Airalo's US$46.00, but gives 5 GB of high-speed data a day against Airalo's 3 GB, plus free security tools and unlimited hotspot sharing.
Saily’s ad blocker saves 28.6% of data on average, according to Saily, so each plan lasts longer. Every purchase also earns 3% back in Saily credits toward the next trip.
Nomad suits long stays with large packages, Airalo offers the widest choice of package sizes, and Holafly keeps pricing flat by the day.
Comparing the same GB and the same number of days remains the fairest way to judge any eSIM price.
