A botanical garden and nature reserve covering around seventy hectares on the ridge above San Miguel, built around a canyon and a reservoir. The collection concentrates on Mexican desert plants — a large conservatory of cacti and succulents, many of them endangered species rescued from development elsewhere. Trails run along the canyon rim and down to the water, and the views back over the town and the Parroquia are the best available without a drone. It is a steep but walkable climb from the centre, or a short taxi. Go early: there is very little shade on the rim.
