A terrace on the Salida a Querétaro, above the eastern edge of town, where the whole of San Miguel stacks up below with the pink spires of the Parroquia in the middle of the frame. It is the source of essentially every photograph of the town. Sunset is the obvious hour and it does get crowded; mid-morning is empty and the light falls on the facades rather than behind them. It is a stiff uphill walk from the centre through the Callejón del Chorro, or a very short taxi ride.
