A cotton mill that ran from 1902 until 1991 and reopened as an art and design centre, with galleries, antique dealers, studios and a couple of cafés spread through the old machine halls. The conversion left much of the industrial fabric in place — concrete floors, roof trusses, some of the original machinery — so it reads as a working building rather than a shopping centre. Entry is free and most galleries are happy for you to walk through. It is about fifteen minutes north of the Jardín on foot, and a useful rainy-afternoon destination.
