Built in the late eighteenth century and carrying one of the finest churrigueresque facades in the Bajío — a dense carved-stone screen of saints, columns and foliage, funded by bullfights and donations from wealthy local families. The neoclassical tower was added later by Eduardo Tresguerras and sits oddly against the rest. The interior is plainer than the front promises. It is two streets from the Jardín and takes ten minutes, which makes it the easiest thing in San Miguel to see and the most commonly skipped.
